A few quiet principles guide everything we publish.

Sources we trust

What we say about health comes from published research and trusted sources: peer-reviewed studies, government health agencies such as the NIH and CDC, major medical centers and established health organizations. We list our sources at the end of every article, with links.

We never invent studies, numbers or statistics.

Gentle, and honest

  • We validate feelings before offering advice.
  • Exercises we suggest are simple and optional, and you can stop any time something doesn't feel right.
  • We never use shame or pressure.

Mental health

Articles about stress, worry or mood always point to professional help when it's needed. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 in an emergency.

Health claims

  • We never promise a cure.
  • We never suggest stopping, starting or changing a medication. That's a decision for you and your doctor.
  • We always note when it's time to see a doctor, and when something needs urgent care.

Bylines and dates

Every article carries a byline and shows the date and time it was published. When we update an article, the date of the update appears too.

Updates and corrections

When the evidence changes, we update the article rather than publish a new one. If you notice a mistake, please write to contact@wellhavenpost.com and tell us which article and what seems wrong. A corrected article shows the date it was updated.

Products

An article about a specific product always begins with a disclosure of our business relationship and the standard FDA statement for dietary supplements. We publish no testimonials and never claim a product treats, cures or prevents a disease.
